A surprise for Daily Addict's 2000th twitter follower

We’re always up for surprises, especially the surprises that mean you get a cool present. And we've a bit of a milestone to celebrate - 2000 twitter fans.

Thanks to the new Dupé (little sister to Havaianas’ thong range, pronounced ‘doo pay’) launching in Australia next week, we’re surprising our 2000th Twitter Follower (www.twitter.com/dailyaddict) with the first pair.

 

And if you’re one of the first 10 to re-tweet about this post you’ll also get a pair of super comfy Dupé thongs. Why shouldn't little birdies that tell also get treats?

Winners are grinners

Call me 12 years old but I’m a sucker for treasure hunts, guessing games, riddles and challenges. I have a feeling you might be too when X doesn’t just mark the spot… it also marks a sleek new digital camera!

So we’re taking part in the Samsung Dual Display promotion.

Here’s how it works:

From today until 18 September there will be questions posted on Samsung's Facebook Fan Page: Tap and Take Australia and Twitter. On a few ocassions the answers you're looking for will be hidden within a DA article. The first people to find the answers and get back to Samsung will win a memory card, which entitles them entry to a secret event (for themselves plus a friend) where they will receive a Samsung Dual LCD screen ST500 camera.

Sydney Fashion Week

Armed with sheer purpose, a keen curiosity and too many wardrobe changes, we set out this week to cover real time (and survive) our first Rosemount Australian Fashion Week.  

It's a truly exhausting endeavour to twitter and post our pics from the shows and backstage, and a privilege to be one of the first to give you a peak at what our top Fashion designer's have in store with their Australian Fashion Spring Summer 2009-2010 collections.  

In speaking with the organisers, this year is by far the largest contingent of social media (blogger and online media) ever to attend a Fashion Week in Sydney. We're sure it's the start of something new and needed. You can see the full #RAFW twitter stream here.
