And that's how Team Daily Addict celebrated the festive season – with a private tasting of 40 gelati flavours at Darlinghurst’s Gelati Messina.

Here’s our Top 3 gelati picks. Yoghurt Caramel being the clear favourite.

Big thanks to Nick Palumbo, Danny, and chef Donato Toce for being our host. We learnt a few interesting facts about Sicilian-style gelati and how each batch is made daily from scratch. There’s an ever-changing selection of 40 x hand churned gelato and sorbet available at the store 7 days a week, from 12.00pm – 11.00pm. Look through the kitchen glass window and see that they’re always taste-testing, trying new combinations and experimenting with what will work.  Pop in when it’s hot!

A surprise for Daily Addict's 2000th twitter follower

We’re always up for surprises, especially the surprises that mean you get a cool present. And we've a bit of a milestone to celebrate - 2000 twitter fans.

Daily Addict - a guilty secret

A reader told me recently about how they've been feeling guilty, harbouring a secret. 

Intrigued, I heard more. About how they don't want their friends to know about Daily Addict, because it was her source for all amazing things happening around Town. And she wanted to keep it secret.

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. We're all about sharing the love, and hope you can see that too.

We've grown solely by word of mouth so far, we will continue to be that way with your help, and I treasure that.  But it's time to expose Sydney's secret addiction.

Enter charming and clever team at Liquid Ideas and a media release all about us.

Not just a name

We're looking for a clever and cool name.  A name for our new Men's Daily Addict edition launching ultra soon - dedicated to style-conscious, busy men (or the ladies wanting to get the inside scoop on what men are thinking, and where you can find them!).  

More to come soon, but if you've an idea for what we can call the new weekly edition let us know.  The entry we like the most wins a limited edition Observatory Hotel Martini Club membership. Enter before Monday 11 May 2009.

If you have a great idea about what we should feature we  would love to hear from you. 

You're probably clued up on the premium content we give early access to - or just look through our recent articles here. If it's a new event or experience, or something (a product or service) that makes our readers' lives easier or more enjoyable we'll want to hear more.  We love all things that are bespoke, customised, undiscovered and innovative.  Anything that's really fresh, interesting or the makings of a new trend.  

As we do receive a lot of information every day which we diligently sort through, please understand we may not have time to get back to you but appreciate your efforts and wish you well.
