2008 Reader Survey Highlights

 

Now that we know what you’re thinking, we can definitively say – we like how you think! A heartfelt thank you to those who responded to our online reader survey last December.  More than 300 of you decided to pipe up and share your thoughts, give us encouragement and faith that we’re living up to our promise of keeping you informed daily of great experiences and making your life easier with useful tips and recommendations.
 
We’ve trawled through more than 300 verbatim comments, like:

“I love it and it's the first thing I read in the morning. I actually read it in bed on my Blackberry!! Keep up the great work"

"Be the finger on the pulse! I've grown accustomed to your presence in my inbox, and I love it when you feature an event or dining experience that I'd actually like to try (and hadn't thought to yet)"

"I love it ... by maybe because it's one of those secret websites that you're happy you know about and no one else does! Which makes you want to keep it a secret .. very selfish - I know! x"

We learnt a lot more about ‘you’, our readers:

  • 75% uni/mba educated, tech-savvy
  • experience, inspiration and creativity seekers
  • 80% attend social events/entertainment twice or more times each week
  • 55% read Daily Addict ‘every day’, 37% ‘almost every day’
  • 80% have referred Daily Addict to a friend
  • 50% have bought a product we've featured / 88% have 'good' or 'excellent' confidence in products we recommend
  • 75% have attended an event we've featured / 93% have 'good' or 'excellent' confidence in events/experiences we recommend
  • 86% read Daily Addict to keep you connected and informed, 76% to guide on social events to attend and /or experiences to try

We’re listening as closely as possible and now seeing what improvements we can introduce as soon as we can.  Speaking of new improvements – you're looking at the first major one - your brand spanking new searchable website that you asked for.

All our event listings are now published at least one week in advance, and in January we introduced an edition called The Dispensary - a fortnightly dose of exclusive deals, offers and invitations.
